Loving the new season of Game of Thrones® and heard there were some brilliant locations used in Northern Ireland. Where should I start?

Ride North! Northern Ireland has dozens of locations that double as Game of Thrones backdrops. The biggest concentration is in Antrim but others are scattered across the neighbouring counties.

The first stop on your journey through Game of Thrones Territory should be the Castle Ward demesne. Here, crumbling ruins double as Winterfell, one of most iconic castles in all Westeros, as well as containing other well-known locations, including The Twins and the Narrow Sea. But it’s the themed activities that make this destination so unmissable, including medieval banquets, archery and meeting direwolves.

Or you could tour the many locations dotted along the north coast in the same coaches used to transport the Game of Thrones actors between sets. The tours take fans to standout locations such as The Kingsroad (the Dark Hedges) and the Iron Islands (Ballintoy Harbour) where a pre-Reek Theon landed to negotiate with Balon. You get to stop at each and soak up the Seven Kingdoms in your own time. You could even drop into Steensons Jewellers, where you can meet the goldsmiths who are responsible for creating some of the show's incredible crowns and brooches.

To be honest, there are so many Game of Thrones locations around you could even rent a car and see each one at your own pace. Just keep a your eyes on the road for crossing White Walkers, wildlings and dragons.
