Hi Diane,
As mentioned by my industry colleague Sandra, March is a great time to visit Ireland as you'll get to experience the buzz of St. Patrick's Day and the various celebrations and parade's around the country. By attending a parade wherever you are you'll for sure get your wish to meet with the people of Ireland but also you'll be able to see the rich diversity of other visitors to our shores during this great celebration.
Christoph has given you some great links in the above post but if you're interested in further exploration of Ireland on the silver screen you can read another forum post here -
https://community.ireland.com/1016/Ireland-and-Cinema-Great-Sites-to-See-In-PersonIf that peaks your interest and you decide to explore, let us know as we have 54 stunning hotels around the country which include castle & country houses for you to stay in. In fact the recent film "The Lobster" starring Colin Farrell was filmed in one of our Manor Houses - Parknasilla Resort & Spa in Sneem, Co. Kerry.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ireland. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you wish to check out hotel dates & itineraries -
