Hello David,
Tourism
Ireland is the agency responsible for marketing the island of
Ireland overseas as a holiday destination, so we don't have the information about immigrating to our emerald isle ourselves, but we do have some pointers so that you can contact the relevant agencies.
I would advise you to first read the information provided on the
Citizen's Information website. The Citizens Information website is an Irish eGovernment initiative and it will have the most up-to-date information for you. You will also be able to find out there if you are entitled to Irish Citizenship. You may be entitled to
Irish citizenship if your parent(s) or grandparents were Irish. You may be entitled to Irish citizenship if you were born outside of
Ireland, but you may need to register your birth.
Before you come to
Ireland, you need to know first of all whether or not you are entitled to live here. Your right to live in
Ireland depends mainly on your nationality and what you intend to do when you come here.
You can contact the
Embassy of Ireland, as they will be able to assist you with information and rules and regulations.
Wishing you every succes,
Cornelia
