Waterford City and the County Waterford are one of Ireland's real gems!
Founded by the Vikings over 1000 years ago, Ireland's oldest city is still boasts a rich and vibrant heritage. There are many fantastic things to see and do in Waterford city and the surrounding county. The streets burst with colour and fun during the Spraoi street art festival in the summer:
Autumn brings the Waterford Harvest Festival, where you can sample the famous “blaa” bread rolls, and winter hails the magical Winterval festival, which runs from 20^th November to 23^rd December.
Reginald's Tower, a 13^th century circular defence tower, houses a fascinating exhibition about the city's rich history, and no trip to Waterford is complete without a visit to the famous House of Waterford Crystal, where you can enjoy a factory tour and watch the craftsmen at work using traditional production methods to sculpt the perfect piece of authentic Irish crystal.

The magnificent UNESCO Copper Coast Geopark is another one of County Waterford's many treasures, and you can enjoy exploring this region on a series of walking trails and enjoy the fascinating geological and mining exhibition at the Visitor Centre.
