Roses in bloom?

Hi Anne,

As Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park is celebrating the Summer Rose fair this weekend, we thought of you and wanted to check if you had made your trip already. 
If so, we cannot wait to see some pictures! 🌹

We were there in June...the rhodos were still going strong, but the roses were only just starting due to the cool spring weather. We did get to see some early varieties, and lots of buds coming. But unfortunately we missed the real blooming time for the roses.  We loved the park, so beautiful and a treasure right in the city. We hope the Rose Festival goes well so everyone there can enjoy it. Would love to see pictures of some new roses from those test gardens! I'm always looking for another rose :) for my garden. My husband always sighs and says I have too many already..hee hee.But one can never have too many roses. 

I am planning to go this weekend, so I will see what I can do regarding the pictures. 😉
And you are right; there is never too many roses in a garden!
Did you take any pictures during your trip? I won't mind seeing those Rhodos. 😍

Besides the park, have you got the chance to visit many sites during your stay?

Sorry, it took me a bit longer than I thought to come back here with some pictures. 
The weather was terrible the day before with a strong storm, which was not the best for the roses. 
But regardless, I was able to spend hours enjoying the vibrant colors and smells. 

Here are some pictures. The test garden was not accessible, unfortunately, but I will always check when going to the park now! 😊

I am so happy you like them. I just took those pictures with my phone, spent hours walking up and down taking pictures. 😄
You know your roses! Yes, it is a Gallica. I love the way the petals twits together. ❤️
