Hi Eleanor,

I'd be more than happy to help you find some accessible hotels!

In fact, I happen to know an article about accessibility that might be a great place to start. It offers plenty of helpful resources, including links to Accessible Ireland and more. I'd also recommend the Disabled Friendly Hotels website, where you can search for accessible hotels in the exact city where you'd like to visit.

There's also plenty of resources to find fun things to do while in Kerry, too! And, if you'd like, feel free to let me know a bit more about your plans. I might just be able to offer some helpful advice.

Hope this helps!

Kindly,
Rochelle

I'm not impressed with the Accessible Ireland website. One page of accommodation, I tried to look at the next page, link broken. When I tried to register there was a message to say that the site is not secure. No way to search for self-catering, accessible information. I'll just look on a booking website. It's not for this year.

Hi Eleanor,

I am sorry that the Accessible Ireland website page seems to be not working at the moment, it is usually a very good site with lots of helpful information. Maybe they are taking a break from recommending places due to the current travel situation.

As you say, it is possible to use a booking website although we do have an approved accommodation search page on our own website. It is possible to set the accommodation type to self-catering or hotels and also the destination using drop-down menus. While there isn't an extra setting for accessibility, it will give you some idea of what is in the area.

Hopefully, by next year when you plan to travel, you have had a chance to find some locations that would be suitable.
