Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival

Formed in 2007 , The Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival is now widely regarded as the leading bluegrass event on the island of Ireland.
Celebrating Bluegrass, American Old-Time and Folk music, the festival stage over 25 shows, session, square dance, workshop and a gospel concert, perform by more then 16 acts from around the world.
The festival explores the deep roots and connections between Irish traditional culture and American traditional music and how they are both being interpenetrated by acts from Ireland, US , Europe and beyond. 
The festival take place every year at the 2nd weekend of June in Westport, County Mayo at the West of Ireland
