I really love Ireland at Christmas—there’s something about the festive atmosphere in the cities that makes it special. When I visit around this time, I try to check out a few different markets and displays. Belfast’s Christmas Market is always on my list, and I'm hoping to visit soon.

Corkmas in Cork is a personal favourite, and Kilkenny’s Yulefest is one that I hear a lot of good things about, especially the Christmas tree displays and artisan crafts.

The weather can be chilly and damp in November and December, so I would say that layers and waterproofs are essential. Bringing a small umbrella and a flask with a warm drink can make time spent outdoors much more comfortable. Even with a bit of rain, Ireland has a wonderful charm at this time of year.

If you're looking for an end-of-year trip, then it's easy to recommend Ireland during Christmas!
