Dublin
  • Dublin Castle Christmas Market (Nov 28 - Dec 18):
    Set in the historic Dublin Castle courtyard, this market is a must-visit for its unique setting and festive atmosphere. Browse handmade gifts, sample seasonal foods, and enjoy traditional Irish music. Santa even makes an appearance for the little ones! 
  • Christmas Spectacular at Smithfield Square (Nov 22 - Jan 2)
    The Christmas Spectacular at Smithfield Square is Dublin's newest and most thrilling festive event, set in the vibrant heart of Dublin City.
  • Swords Castle Christmas Market. (Nov 28 - 30th, Dec 7 - 8)
    Stroll through the charming stalls adorned with twinkling lights, Swords Castle Christmas Market is the place to be to jump into Christmas.
  • Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo (Oct 24- Jan 5):
    be ready for a spectacular, night-time experience at Dublin Zoo. This year, the lights display will bring you on a ‘A Journey Through Time’.
  • Christmas Lights on Grafton Street
    A favorite tradition! The lights are switched on in mid-November, and the street glows beautifully throughout December.

Ireland’s Ancient East
  • Kilkenny Yulefest (Nov 30-Dec 22):
    Running through December, Kilkenny’s medieval streets are lined with markets, live music, and festive cheer. Don’t miss the artisan stalls and live performances on weekends.
  • Waterford Winterval (Nov 15-Dec 23) :
    Winterval, Ireland's largest Christmas festival, and now the European City of Christmas, will return to Waterford in November and December for its 12th year!

Wild Atlantic Way
  • Galway Christmas Market (Nov 8 - January 5):
    This market will be on Galway’s Eyre Square, featuring wooden chalets, mulled wine, and handmade crafts. You’ll also find a carousel and a 32-meter Ferris wheel offering views over the City of Tribes.
  • Christmas in Killarney (Nov 22 - Dec 25):
    A festival that includes Christmas parades, magical Santa experiences, and traditional Irish music sessions throughout December. Perfect for families!
  • Corkmas (Nov 15 - Dec 30)
    Expect a program with twinkling lights, joyful activities, a parade, and SOLAS, a stunning lighting installation in the city streets.


Belfast and Northern Ireland
  • Belfast Christmas Market (Nov 16- January):
    Located at Belfast City Hall, this market is one of the biggest on the island of Ireland, featuring delicious food stalls, handcrafted goods, and trinkets. Grab a mulled cider and try crepes, pancakes, and more!
  • Winter Circus in Belfast: (Dec 13- Jan 1)
    An alternative Christmas experience, the Winter Circus offers family-friendly performances in the heart of Belfast, with acrobatics, comedy, and music.
  • Portrush Townhall Christmas Market (Dec 14-15):
    This charming coastal town hosts a small but cozy market with family-friendly activities, local crafts, and live caroling.
  • Santa's Cottage in County Down
    Visitors are welcome to pop into the elves’ workshop, meet Rudolph or grab a bite in Mrs Claus’ café.
