To whom it may concern,

My name is Mariia Fialkovska, and I am a first-year student at the Faculty of Philology and Educational Technologies at Kyiv National Linguistic University (KNLU).

Currently, I am conducting independent research for my "Intercultural Communication" course. I have chosen to focus my project on Ireland because of my profound respect for your country’s history, resilient spirit, and incredibly rich cultural heritage.

To ensure the authenticity and depth of my work, I would be honored to receive insights or recommended resources from an official perspective regarding the following aspects of Irish culture:

  • National Identity and Mentality: The key values and traits that define the Irish people today.
  • National Traditions: Significant holidays, rituals, and symbols that remain vital to Irish society.
  • Way of Life (Past and Present): Information on traditional crafts, national costume, and the evolution of Irish cuisine.
  • Etiquette: Specific cultural norms or social rules that are unique to Ireland.
  • Untranslatable Concepts: Five Irish words or concepts (perhaps from the Irish language) that reflect the unique soul of the culture and are difficult to translate directly into other languages.

I understand how busy your schedule must be, but any assistance, brochures, or official links you could provide would be invaluable for my academic journey and my understanding of Ireland.

Thank you for your time and for the inspiration your culture provides to students like me.

Yours faithfully,

Mariia Fialkovska
