Hi Diane , March is a great time to visit Ireland , there are festivals for St . Patrick ' s Day ( 17th March ) lots of places around the country and there will be a parade in every village and town on the day itself . Ashford Castle and the Quiet Man country is in the West of Ireland , there are lots of places to stay around there and it ' s beautiful countryside . If you are going to the South West and East , you could do a couple of nights in each place and work your way around the country that way .& nbsp ; You can find information about St Patrick ' s Day festivals on www.stpatricksday.ie Have a great time ! Sandra .

Hi Diane , As mentioned by my industry colleague Sandra , March is a great time to visit Ireland as you ' ll get to experience the buzz of St . Patrick ' s Day and the various celebrations and parade ' s around the country . By attending a parade wherever you are you ' ll for sure get your wish to meet with the people of Ireland but also you ' ll be able to see the rich diversity of other visitors to our shores during this great celebration . Christoph has given you some great links in the above post but if you ' re interested in further exploration of Ireland on the silver screen you can read another forum post here -& nbsp ; https://community.ireland.com/1016/Ireland-and-Cinema-Great-Sites-to-See-In-PersonIf that peaks your interest and you decide to explore , let us know as we have 54 stunning hotels around the country which include castle & amp ; country houses for you to stay in .
