What is your favorite Irish music instrument?

The Harp, without a doubt!

After a few years playing different zithers, I decided to go down the route of learning the harp. I've found it to be one of the most beautiful sounding instruments from an early age, and have had the great fortune to be able to learn Celtic harp at the Cúlturlann in Derry for the past year. I've fallen in love with it AND it's essentially the archetype musical instrument of Ireland itself! 

I love the fiddle and the banjo, in equal measure! There is nothing in the world quite like an Irish session... No matter where I've visited on the island, I've managed to find great music. :D

I'm a huge fan of Bluegrass music, and the influence from Irish traditional music is unmistakable! It reminds me of our Irish roots here in the US. 

Le "fiddle" ou violon, sans aucune hésitation ! C'est un instrument que l'on associe souvent avec la musique classique, un peu "coincé" et "bourgeois", alors le voir et l'entendre être joué dand la bonne humeur dans un pub, autour d'une table, sans partition...c'est tout simplement incroyable ! J'adore cette musique, et l'expérience d'une "session" improvisée dans un vieux pub irlandais, c'est quelque chose qu'on ne peut avoir nulle part ailleurs. :)
