Buy a camper and now close another insurance!

Dear All,
My 18-year-old cousin Stefan left for Ireland to live and work there last week. Now he has bought a small camper. The transfer has not been a problem, but to guarantee that camper so. It is said that he must be 25 years old to ensure the camper. Who knows how to act now? The camper has an Irish license plate. The camper must of course be insured. Please help!

I'm really sorry to hear that Stefan is having some trouble with getting his camper van insured.  In this case, I would like to recommend reaching out to Citizens Information Ireland.  They would be able to assist and provide details of possible alternatives.

I'm not too familiar with how insuring a camper van is in comparison to a motor vehicle, so hopefully, Citizens Information Ireland can shed some light on that, or perhaps some of our other members may have some details to share.

I hope that a resolution to the issue can be met.
