Let me start then and share with you one of the band I enjoy listening to, Beoga.
They are from around Belfast and will often hang around a pub called Maddens, have you heard of it?

Anyway, it is there that I meant them and heard them for the first time years ago. They recently became very popular as they worked with Ed Sheeran on his Galway girl song and many others.
