I just heard to get a vat, not sure if that is correct spelling, but they told me to get this as soon as we land @ airport. It is suppose to keep track of everything we buy and we will get reimburse for the taxes we spend. Do you know what they are talking about?

Hi Cindy,

For non-EU visitors to the island of Ireland, it is possible to get a refund of the VAT applied to most purchases of goods.

We have a super article on Customs and Borders that contains some excellent information on claiming back your VAT on your purchases. Please take a look and see how to obtain your refund.

Where have you planned to visit during your time with us?

Martin
