Hi can anyone help I’m after some information
I’m looking into my Irish family tree and apparently my mum and Nan lived in a home for unmarried mothers and my mum said it was called the ginky or jinky.
Does anyone know of this place that can help me?
I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find any info
It was in Dublin between 1952 and 1960
Can anyone help

Hi Michael,

It's great that you've found your way here from our Facebook page. :)

Have you tried getting in touch with the General Register Office of Ireland (GRO) yet? The National Archives of Ireland might also have some helpful leads for your search.

There are some very knowledgeable people here on the forum, so hopefully someone will be able to provide you with the golden tip!

Melin
