My husband and I visited Ireland for our first wedding anniversary and we would like to again next year for our 20th.  We stayed at an amazing hotel near Fermoy, but I cannot remember or find it now.  If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it.

The hotel was set around a courtyard, the rooms were large, en-suites had double sinks and the restaurant was incredible.  Hubby wanted to go fishing one day and they organised with the tackle shop (must have been in Fermoy) where he could go.

I know it's not a lot to go on and knowing my luck, it has probably gone due to the motorway construction, but any ideas would be great.  Thanks.

Hi Vicki,

What a lovely way to celebrate your 20th anniversary! :D It's great that you're thinking of visiting the same area during your trip.

I've had a look in the Fermoy area for hotels with a similar description, and I have found the following options:
Did you by any chance stay in one of these hotels? For all tourist board approved hotels and accommodation in County Cork, take a look here.

Have you thought about what else you would like to see or do during your visit? County Cork is filled with beautiful views and lovely food, and you can easily venture out to the Wild Atlantic Way from here.

Hoping to hear from you soon, and please let us know if you have any other questions!

Melin

Hi Vicki, I think the hotel you are referring to is Castlehyde.  Unfortunately, this is no longer open.  There isn't any hotel in Fermoy itself.  Corbett Court is located about 5 miles from Fermoy between Fermoy and Mitchelstown.  In Mitchelstown which is 10 miles from Fermoy you have the Firgrove Hotel.  In Fermoy itself there is a 5 star guesthouse - Abbeyville House which is right in the centre of town.

Hope this information will be of help

Regards

Aideen
P.S. Live in the area that's why I know all of this!!!!!

Many Thanks for your replies...I didn't think that we would be lucky enough for it still to be open.
