Hi everyone,
I'm Sebastiano from Italy. I need a suggestion about my next trip to Ireland. I'd like to visit Ireland (it would be my first time there) from 30 nov to 5 dec.
I'd like to know if it's a good time to visit the Island and if public transport are easy and comfortable to visit cities. I suppose that the Cliff of Moher will be inaccessible in winter.
Have you got some suggestion to do/to see besides Dublin?

Thank you so much.
Sebastiano

Ciao a tutti,

Grazie in anticipo!
Sebastiano

Ciao, Sebastiano!

A presto!

Francesco

Hi Sebastiano,

As Francesco has mentioned,  Ireland is a country you can visit during any season!  You mention visiting Dublin but have you thought about travelling further North and exploring the Causeway Coastal Route?  This is one of the world's great road journeys stretching from Belfast and going towards Derry/Londonderry.

Central in the route is the Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland's only UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its hexagonal-shaped basalt stones and columns.  You can find out more about some of the sights along the way at https://www.visitcausewaycoastandglens.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/CCRMap-Italian.pdf.

Public transport operates throughout the year stopping at several locations along the Causeway Coastal Route.

If you have any specific questions about the area, Coleraine Visitor Information Centre will be happy to help.

I hope you have a great trip!

Alison

Ciao Marcella!

Grazie mille :-)

Seba

Sorry, the weather is so bad as internet said??
I've read that Cliff are closed today.. and there is Storm Diana.. OMG..

Hi, Sebastiano!

The departure is really approaching! : D  When you are in Galway, add a visit to the  Christmas Market , you will not regret it!

As for the means of transport, to get to Galway, I suggest you take the bus from Dublin with Bus Eireann . For more information on how to organize your trips, I suggest you take a look at these two threads:  Ireland by bus / train / on foot (I'm Italian)  &  Tips for my trip to Galway .
If you are looking for places to eat in Dublin and Galway, I can tell you that you are spoiled for choice: you can search the premises through this search engine and both by consulting the list of these  Irish restaurants to try .

Finally, on the Cliffs of Moher website there are updates on its reopening. In case of difficult weather conditions, the site is closed to the public. Therefore, keep an eye on the Dublin airport  site and also on the official Irish weather site .

Let us know how the trip is going. See you soon!

Grazie davvero per tutti i consigli che mi state dando!

Vi terrò aggiornati!
