As a Dutch woman with an Irish heart, I also love to go to Irish music gigs. There is so much great Irish music in the world, but to me there is next level good Irish music and that is this band: The Kilkennys! Because their vocals mix just perfectly, (they even never use in-ears!) they are brilliant musicians (OMG the amount of instruments they play!) They always perform on the highest level, night after night, looking like playing just right there at that moment, this is the thing they love the most. They can catch a very wide range of audience/age with their enthusiasm and energy.
Whether it is a festival setting with young people or in a theatre with the more grown-up people 😉 And beside all their qualities as excellent musicians, they make you feel like you're in Ireland, from the first minute they enter the stage. They bring a smile on everyone's face with their Irish wit and charm. You can feel the love for their country (well of course, after all it IS the most beautiful country in the world 🤷♀️) and I believe every word they say (that is, in their songs, anyway 😉). Maybe that is what catches me the most, because real music not only touches your ears but it touches your heart.💚 And that's what they do best! ☘ 💚
Highly recommended if you ever have the chance to see and hear this awesome four friendly and handsome Irishmen; if it is in your own country or on Irish soil.
