Hi,
We are visiting Ireland for 5 or 6 days in May. We will arrive in Dublin by ferry where we will spend one night. We then want to go to Galway and hike the Connemara and then to the Ring of Kerry and finally depart Ireland on the ferry from Rosslare. To do these things, could you suggest a central location where we might spend 4 or 5 nights and use this location as a center to see those sights?
Thank you,
Henry Penello

Hello Henry,

It's so exciting that you are planning on visiting us next spring, and I would love to provide you with some suggestions for your visit.

Staying in one place, and exploring the surrounding areas from there is a great idea! :) Connemara, Galway and the Ring of Kerry are all located along the Wild Atlantic Way, and you have loads of lovely places to choose from.

Right in the middle of all of the places you would like to visit is Limerick. If you stay anywhere in this area the average drive to your chosen sightseeing spots will be between 2 to 3 hours. Do you have a preference for a certain type of accommodation or location? You can spend the night in a hotel in the bustling city of Limerick, sleep like royalty in Bunratty Castle or stay in a cosy thatched roof cottage in Adare

These are of course just a few of the possibilities, and hopefully you'll receive more suggestions from our other members in the area as well. :) If you have the time, I also highly recommend a trip to the Beara Peninsula, just below the Ring of Kerry.

If there is anything else you need, please don't hesitate to reach out to us again. We're always here to help!

Wishing you a great weekend, and a Happy New Year,

Melin
