This thank you has been a long time in coming. And I sorely hope that you do not feel in any way that your assistance was anything but appreciated. I am working through more than 3,000 photos of the trip, but felt that you NEEDED to have a little flavor of what it was you made possible.

Please watch the video at the link below.  I would rather send you the full quality one, but 130MB is, well, still a bit too much data.

Merry Christmas and rest assured that there are some very grateful Bergers out there!

Hello William,
Thank you so much for posting this amazing video - what an incredible journey it has been for you and your family and what an achievement - well done to you all!  Breeda, who is the wife of our director, Donie Garrihy was born and raised in the area close to MacDara island. She had suggested some ways for you to get there initially, but it seemed that there was a lot to consider - your time in the area, working with tidal access to the island and of course, always hoping for good weather to hold for the journey - and what weather you had!  As the saying goes, "Time and tide waits for no man" but your perseverance got you to your goal. Breeda was delighted to hear that you were able to successfully manage all the logistics needed to get you to island.
Comhghairdeachas (congratulations) and wishing you many years of health and happiness to come,

Best wishes from Joan and all at Garrihys Doolin2Aran Ferries
