Hello,
We live in Belgium, and we will be visit Ireland for 1 week. We have hired a camper. We start in Dublin, there we'll stay for 2 days on Corkagh Park.
Then we'll go to Wexford (Ferrybank camping) for 1 night. We want to go to Cork and stay 1 night, is there a camping near the city?

After that, we will go to Dingle for also 1 night, suggestions for camping? At least we will go to Kilkenny for 2 night. Any suggestions for a good camping nearby the city? Also, tips for visit in all the cities? Our daughter from 12 years is a big fan of Irish dance, she also dances for almost 6 years.

Thank you

Delighted to see that you will be touring Ireland in your campervan in April.  You can order a copy of the Ireland 2019 Caravan Camping & Motorhome Guide through our website www.campingireland.ie  The guide features over 100 sites throughout the Island of Ireland.
The nearest site to Cork City is Blarney Caravan & Camping Park.  The site re-opens on 1st April.  It is 8km from Cork city.  There is an excellent bus service from Blarney into the city centre.
In Kilkenny there are 2 sites - Tree Grove (located 1.5km from city centre) and Nore Valley (11km) from Kilkenny.
Dingle Camping & Caravan Site (Campail Teach an Aragail) is located 10 minutes drive from Dingle town.
You will find details on these sites and others in the guide and also on our website.
With regard to Irish Dancing, unfortunately you will miss the World Irish Dance Championships which are taking place in Killarney from 13th to 19th April (maybe you could extend your stay by a day or 2)  To find out venues where Irish Dancing will be taking place you should ask the site owner when you are checking in.
Hope this information is of help
Regards
Aideen - Camping Ireland

Hi Bart,

Lovely to see you'll be over with us coming April!

I see Aideen has given you some excellent tips already. Camping Ireland is a great resource to find tourist board approved camping sites all over the island.

Your tour looks really nice and will bring you to some wonderful places with a great mixture of nature and culture. I've put together a personal scrapbook for you to look at, with some tips on things to see and do in the places you'll be visiting.

Your daughter (and yourselves) might be interested in the Irish Dance Party in Dublin. There's a dance show every day in which, true to the Irish spirit, she can participate to her heart's content. Additionally, if your itinerary allows it, the Olympia in Dublin hosts the Rhythm of the Dance show on April 6th - a two-hour dance and music extravaganza.

Let's see if some of our other forum members have some additional tips for you!

PS: If you so wish, you can contact us in Dutch as well. :)

Vriendelijke groeten,
Joris
