Hi, my name is Patti and I am originally from Scotland but live in Los Angeles.
Next month I am coming to Ireland with my family to honor our own ancestral lineage who came over to Scotland.
We will be visiting Dublin, Brú na Bóinne for the Summer Solstice, then across to Galway, Westport and Sligo via Carrowmore.
My question is what are your favorite health centers, yoga studios along that route and I have reached out to a few as I may do some workshops. But for now it is to find places off the beaten track that I can visit before I bring a large party next year. I am all about the energy of a place and what calls me and look forward to any suggestions that I may miss.
Recently I was in a documentary called Heal, it was bought by Netlfix and is in 190 countries now so I feel the need to do something in Europe and Ireland definitely has the strongest pull for me as well as Scotland of course. :)
I would love to know of any shops, vegan/vegetaria, juice bars, farms, sacred sites on and off the beaten track, myths, mysteries and energy that you feel I would love to tap into.
Thank you for you assistance and I look forward to your insights.

Hello Patti,

It is so exciting you are coming over to visit us next month with your family! I would love to point you in the right direction for more information that might be helpful. :)

There are a few other threads which I think might come in handy, and I have collected them for you below:

Newgrange is famous for witnessing the Winter Solstice - what else is there to see around this area?
- I know Meath is well known for its sacred sites, but what exactly is the Hill of Tara?
Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free Food on the Island of Ireland.

You can also find the best recommendations for off the beaten track suggestions from our other visitors in the Hidden Gems thread, and I also think this thread about 'Thin Places' might be something that you'd find interesting. :)

I hope you'll receive loads more tips and ideas from our other members, and if there is anything else you would like to know, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Warm regards,

Melin

Hi Patti! Your journey sounds absolutely amazing, and it’s wonderful to see how you’re honoring your ancestral roots. While I haven’t traveled the route you mentioned, I recently came across the Mallorca Soul website, which offers a wealth of resources on healing and mindfulness. Their approach to energy work and meditation really resonated with me, especially since they focus on connecting individuals with their authentic selves. If you’re considering incorporating meditation into your journey, you might find some inspiration in their insights about (removed due to house rules), which could complement your experiences in Ireland nicely. I love how these retreats emphasize the energy of the location, similar to what you’re looking for. As for health centers and yoga studios, perhaps exploring smaller, community-focused places could lead you to hidden gems. I hope you have a fulfilling trip filled with healing and connection!
