Is public transit available to get from the Dunbrody Famine ship to the Kennedy homestead?

Hello Mary, It's wonderful that you're thinking of visiting us, and you've chosen some great places for on your itinerary. :) I've had a look for the best way to travel by public transport, but there don't seem to be any buses available between these two locations. By car it will take around 11 minutes. Would a taxi be an option? The total fare would be around €17, and you can pre-book your trip beforehand. One of our other members might know of a different option, and please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions!

Thank you for checking out the transportation options. I clicked on the taxi link and saw multiple options. Do you have perhaps three of those on the list you would recommend, even if only for location? I am not familiar with the communities and even looking on a map doesn't help. The taxi would be a perfect way to get between those two places. My plan is to use the bus to get from Waterford to New Ross.

Most taxi firms will have cars in and around the area from the list Melin suggested, I would also add this link to some alternatives specific to the New Ross area location of the Dunbrody Famine ship. Transport for Ireland has a very handy journey planner that we use for trips using public transport. They have some suggestions for bus services from Waterford to New Ross which you may wish to have a look at. Where else on the island of Ireland have you already on your itinerary? Martin

Thank you for the clarification on the subject of taxis. I will be visiting multiple places in Ireland, circumnavigating the island while on a tour. This is a stop while traveling independently at the end of the tour.
