Excursion from Dublin

Hello, with my Friend with spend 4 day in Ireland (our plane arrival and departure is in Dublin)
We would like to spend two day outside of Dublin.
Do you have any idea of a place where we could stay 2 nights, with things to see close, at 2hours by public transport max (we cant rent a car) ?
We love castles and nature!
I have already been in Blefast / Giant Causeway.

Right off the top of my head, I started think of some of the awesome day trips from Dublin! There are several that came to mind, and are easily visit-able through public transport.

With your interest in castles, you may want to check out Trim Castle (from Mel Gibson’s Braveheart) or spend your time exploring Powerscourt House & Gardens.

For sure you could have a lovely evening in either County Meath or County Wicklow.  With B&Bs and more available, feel free to make use of our accommodation search tool to help you find the perfect spot for an overnight.
