We will be driving to Killybegs on Sunday from Dublin and would like to have some suggestions about route, and places to see along the way and where to stop to eat. Thank you

Hello Mary,

The most direct route will take about 3.5 hours to drive from Dublin to Killybegs without stops. This route uses the M3 out of Dublin heading towards Navan and becoming the N3 at Kells. If you fancy a slight detour, Trim Castle is always a great spot to visit.

The route then carries on towards Cavan, County Cavan and a visit to Clogh Oughter Castle is always a nice idea. Afterward, the delights keep coming as you pass the Crom Estate before making it to Enniskillen and many great places to eat and also the castle to explore.

From Enniskillen, head towards Belleek to see some fine pottery before taking the road towards Donegal and finally Killybegs.

I hope this gives you lots of inspiration, and hopefully, your fellow members and some industry partners will be able to add to this list!

Speak soon,
Martin
