More from the West of Ireland

We have made numerous visits so our pictures are a bit repetitive but they still make us smile and yearn to get back to Ireland. This is the Oratory at Mamean

We have attended a few Connemara Pony shows where the atmosphere is very gentle.After the Roundstone show the horses are paraded through the town. Quite chaotic in a relaxed way!

There are lovely and easy walks around places like Inishnee

We also managed to visit the interesting landscape of the Burren


But we always head back to the beach or the hills

Below was taken at Ballycroy where there is a boarded walk over the bog.


Blacksod, or is it Greece? no definitely Ireland in a heatwave.

I love your pictures by the way! They are beautiful windows back to Ireland, and you helped me remember some lovely souvenirs.

Did you travel much of Ireland, or did you focus on the west?

Thanks, I seem to have a "method" that enables me to post!
We have been to Ireland several times. We have done a little in other areas but we are drawn mainly to the West coast north of Galway. Whenever we think about exploring elsewhere we end up heading back to the Connemara region. Perhaps I will start doing thee lottery so that we could afford to explore much more of this beautiful island.

I know the feeling Mike!

Every time we intend to explore the island, we always end up in Donegal as it's one of my favorite places in Ireland.
Actually, if you haven't been before, I recommend it.

It is still on the west coast, very wild and you have some gems, like Slieve League or Fanad Head lighthouse, which is situated in the northern point of the island.
