Hi Philip, Thanks so much for reaching out, and I'd love to see if I can help you recover your saved favourites on the website. Did you start a scrapbook where you collected everything for your future trip? There are a few developments for the new website, but you should be able to find them here while being logged in. I hope this was helpful, and please let me know if you have any other questions! :) Melin

Thanks Melin, The link you provided to my scrapbook works fine. I've made a new bookmark, so hopefully I won't lose it again. Again many thanks Just need the covid restrictions to be lifted now. We're even more interested as we've just found out that my wife's great, great grandmother came from Dublin. Philip

That's great news, Philip! Thanks for letting us know. :) It's also wonderful to hear that your wife discovered that she has Dublin roots! If you're ever interested in doing more research, we have a whole genealogy section with helpful resources and the option to reach out to the experts. I hope we get to welcome you soon, but in the meantime, we're always here if you have any questions. Melin

Hi Melin, I'm afraid it has gone again. Thankfully, I have copied across to Excel, so all is not lost. P

Hi Philip, Thanks so much for your message. I just replied to your new thread as well. I think saving your scrapbook suggestions in an Excel file was a great idea, and I'm happy you haven't lost them. Take a look at the My Ireland section as well for more tips, and you know where to find me if you have any questions! :) Warm regards, Melin

Hi Melin, Many thanks for all your help. I couldn't find my original, hence the second thread. However, unfortunately for you, I kept your first email replies :-) Sorry to spring another question on you but I've been reading about the impact of Brexit on imports to Ireland. We tend to bring food both frozen and fresh in our motorhome fridge/freezer and there are conflicting views. The view I like is, that for personal consumption it's OK. I read an EU document that suggested it was OK but the same document mentioned a 2KG limit. If this is still part of the squabbling between EU and UK and there is no definitive answer, I've got time. We're probably going to delay to spring next year. Many thanks or perhaps... Míle buíochas agus lá sona Saint patrick

Hi Philip, No problem at all, and I'm happy to point you in the right direction for more information about bringing good to the Emerald Isle after Brexit. I have collected a few websites with more information about bringing goods from the UK into Europe: - European Commission - Personal Imports- Gov UK - Visiting the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein. Your ferry company will also be able to tell you more about what you can bring. ( Here is an example from Stenaline) I'm sorry to hear you've had to postpone your trip, but you'll definitely have more than enough time to arrange everything before you go. In the meantime, if you'd like to join us for some virtual St. Patrick's Day festivities tomorrow, you can do so here! ☘️ Happy St. Patrick's Day! 😊 Melin

Thanks again Melin, The links have clarified the 2Kg limit I read about. There doesn't appear to be any. Eh ho, the joys of Brexit. Cheers Philip
