Hello, I am tracing my granddad's side George Barnes (born 1907).  I have gone back to my 4 x gt gr father Thomas Barron (born 1787), married in 1805 to Frances Dunning (born 1787). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi Christine,

It's great to hear that you are researching your Irish roots and very impressive that you have gone back to the 18th century.

Before 1864 records were kept in the form of church and parish records all the surviving records have been sorted into county-based genealogical centres.

Another resource that I'd love to mention is Ireland Reaching Out, which might just be able to help point you towards more answers, as well.

Perhaps our fellow members will have some advice also. Best of luck to you in your continuing research.

Regards,
Eoin
