Hi . We are hoping to travel to donegal from NI at the end of June. From the NI end I think we are now ok to travel to Ireland. But wondering what the restrictions and rules are from the Irish side. Do we need tests? Pet passports? Etc etc. We are staying in self catering house in family bubbles.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Hello A j,

Thank you for reaching out with this question!

At this time, travel to and around the island of Ireland is still strongly discouraged. Things are evolving periodically regarding travel, so it can be tricky to predict changes in the guidelines ahead of time - a bit like trying to forecast the weather. 🌦️

The best place to stay up to date is our traveller health page. You can keep on top of the current situation and recent changes by following helpful links to the governments’ guidelines.

Regarding travel with pets, for when we are able to travel again, there's also a helpful page all about bringing pets to Ireland right on our website as well.

I sincerely hope this information helps! If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Kindly,
Rochelle
