Hi everyone,
With my family, we'll visit Ireland from July 19th until 23th. We are two adults with the complete vaccination pattern (Astrazeneca) and two kids: 8 years old and 20 months old. I would like to know if we'll need a negative PCR test or if with the Covid Europeen Certificate it's enough. I think that the older kid will need the PCR, but what about the adults?
Thank you

Hi Alberto,

So glad to hear you are coming to visit Ireland with your family!

From the 19th of July, people travelling from Spain to the Republic of Ireland won't have to quarantine as long as they have the Covid European Certificate as a proof that they have been fully vaccinated or they have recovered from Covid or they present a negative PCR test (you only need to meet one of the criteria). You can find more information on our website.

Children aged between 7 and 18 who have not been vaccinated must also have a negative PCR test, but children under 7 years old are exempt, as stated on the Republic of Ireland's government website.

If you are also planning to visit Northern Ireland, we recommend you to check their official website regularly to be up to date with the travel restrictions, because visitors from Spain currently need to quarantine and present a negative PCR to visit the country.

If you have any more questions we would love to help you!

Regards,

Marta. ☘️
