Here in Doolin, we always look forward to the Russell weekend - it means winter is nearly over! Held on the last weekend in February each year, the Russell weekend celebrates the contribution made by the three Russell brothers - Micho, Pakie and Gussie - in establishing Doolin Co Clare as the capital of Irish music.
This year's headline act at the Russell concert is none other than fiddling maestro Frankie Gavin with De Danann, and there will be plenty of music and dancing at the Russell centre and in each of the four Doolin pubs every night over the weekend.
