Hello. I've been wanting to visit the Giant's Causeway and other sites of geological interest on the Antrim coast for decades and I decided not to wait any longer! I always make sure I visit everywhere, not just particularly popular sites, during school term times for the quietest and least crowded experience but the Translink buses seem to only offer a July & August timetable and when I emailed them I was told they hope to run buses in September but they're not sure. There was no reply about months beyond September. October is obliterated by staggered UK school holidays so I was thinking November or March might be my best bet, but from what I've read online, there may not be buses. I don't drive and I need several days in the area, probably a week. Can anyone enlighten me? Thank you, Ruth

Hello Ruth, We are delighted to hear that you are planning to explore the Antrim coast! What a great idea to aim for the off season outside school holidays. ☀️ If you find that there are no buses running directly to the Giant's causeway, you could catch a bus to Bushmills and then either get a taxi or walk along the Causeway Coast Way. If the weather permits, this might be a great adventure for you! Buses between Belfast and Bushmills run all year round. 🚌 If you would like further inspiration on exploring the Causeway Coastal Route, you might find this trip idea on our website useful. We also have further information on getting around in Ireland for you here. We hope this helps and that you'll have a great time! ☘️ Best wishes, Rebecca

Hoi Jan,
It's amazing to see you've been here so many times! You're basically a local. ;)
It's also great to see that you've been all over the island, and thank you for sharing your itineraries with us.
Are there any places you haven't visited yet that are still on your wishlist?
Thanks again for sharing! :)
Groetjes,
Melin

Hi Jan!
How nice to hear about your upcoming trips! It sounds like no plans is the best plan in your case.
I hope you'll have a wonderful time in the North West, all the way to Fermanagh Lakelands!
Cheers, Antoine
