Good morning,

I'm starting my studies in Cork in September, but I couldn't get a ferry to Rosslare Harbour on a Monday morning. Can you tell me what the best way to get there is by public transport?

Sincerely

Bonjour Juliette,

It's so nice to hear that you'll be studying in Cork as from next month! Are you looking to reach Cork from Dublin or from Rosslare Harbour?

The Transport for Ireland website is a great way to plan any itinerary on the island. You can for instance reach Cork from Rosslare Harbour in less than 5 hours using the Expressway 40. From Dublin, it can takes about three hours, depending on your departure location. You can for instance use the X8 Expressway from Dublin Busaras (the main bus station)

Here's more info about public transport in Ireland in general.

I hope this helps! I can also help you in French if you prefer.

Cheers,
Antoine

Dia dhuit! Hi!
Here the general site for Public transport/lift Sharing @ the Isle:  https://getthere.ie/
You have verry good connections with the ExpressWay / Bus Eireann on the Rosslare Harbour Ternminal
A few connections have a Change @ Waterford (Travel Times ca. 3hrs > 4hrs)
National Bus company: https://www.expressway.ie/    -    https://www.buseireann.ie/

Private Express bus operators (when  you stay @ Cork):
https://www.citylink.ie/routes   -  https://gobus.ie/
>>> Direct from the Airport & Pick up @ Dublin City (Border Liffey, Tara Station area) to Cork/Galway/Limerick/... Drop of only @ the return
Daytrips from Cork to Dublin/Galway possible (Almost same costs as the single fares)
Good vibes travel with GoBus on the Dublin-Galway route.
