Hi, I am planning on returning to Ireland for a wedding on September 28th and have just been told that Ireland does not recognize mixed covid vaccines.  I live in Canada.  Can anyone advise how I can remedy this?  is there a booster shot or any other advice would be welcomed.

Hi,

It's lovely to hear that you are planning on coming home for a wedding!

You are correct that at this time heterologous/mixed schedules of vaccines are not included under the indicated criteria for being considered fully vaccinated. We have a previous community post on mixed vaccines from people in the EU who have similar circumstances. Our advice would be to contact your local embassy to see if they have any further information. You should also contact your chosen airline to confirm their terms and conditions too.

I hope this helps, probably not the information you had hoped for but please check the embassy for the latest official guidance.

Martin
