Hello Elisa!
I just went on the Ireland.com website and it states that people coming into Ireland NO LONGER NEED to have A NEGATIVE PCR TEST, nor do they need to fill out a PASSANGER LOCATOR FORM, starting Mar 6.
Is this really true?

I guess time will tell, but do you know if I still will need to have a negative antigen test prior to my coming back to the US (we are US citizens)?

Thank you for confirming this and for responding,
Rosaria

Hi Rosaria,

It is indeed true that from Sunday 6 March 2022, travelers to Ireland are not required to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative PCR test result upon arrival.

Also, travelers to Ireland are no longer asked to complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form.

Things are changing quickly at the moment with the hope that the worst is behind us and we are all learning to live with Covid as it hasn't gone away. Please continue to check the official pages and also the USA CDC pages as your requirements on your return may also change soon.

Hopefully, this will make your trip to see us even more enjoyable.

Martin

Hello!
I am just wondering what effects the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is having on Europe in general, and if anything, in Ireland.
I know that there is still a month left before we head out there, but would be able to give me an idea of whether it is safe to travel now? (I thought we were just about done with COVID) and now this--

Our trip isn't for until April 14- we are arriving Easter weekend.
Thank you for your kind help,
Rosaria

Hi Rosaria,

As of right now, apart from welcoming Ukrainian refugees, the crisis is not having an effect in Ireland / nor on international visits to Ireland.

Ireland continues to enjoy a reputation as a safe, friendly, and welcoming destination.

Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine and we hope for an early resolution of the crisis and we do hope that you feel Ireland as a safe travel destination for your upcoming trip.
