We fly into Dublin on Sunday, March 5 early in the morning and stay in Kilkenny our first night. What are some sights to see and things to do on our way to Kilkenny or around Kilkenny? Then the next day we head to Limerick for two nights and then to Sligo for the next two nights then back to Dublin. Being we are only in Ireland for a week we do not want to miss the best sights and pubs. Suggestions please!

Hi Nicole,

It is not too long until your time with us!

There have been some recent changes to the current travel and public health guidelines. To keep up to date before you travel, we'd suggest keeping an eye on our own Traveler's Health Page for all official resources and links to current information.

That said, the drive down to County Kilkenny is a choice between the M9 motorway or the scenic route through County Wicklow depending on how you feel about the drive after your flight. Plenty to see and do in Kilkenny so it depends on your personal choice.

Traveling to County Limerick will take you through Waterford and Tipperary. Again places of interest would be Waterford itself, Cahir Castle, and The Rock of Cashel to name but a few. So many places to see as you drive, most towns and villages will have places to stop and eat, please check out the information on our website for extra details.

Once over on the Wild Atlantic Way section of your time with us,  Counties Clare, Galway, and Sligo have much to keep you entertained. The Cliffs of Moher or Aran Islands are doable from Limerick if you wish to leave the delights of Sligo and further north until you are staying there.

Your journey back to Dublin from Sligo will take you through Ireland's Hidden Heartlands, depending on the time you have to spare, some things in the midlands may also take your fancy.

Hopefully, this has given you some ideas to start with and our members and industry partners may also have some of their own!

Martin
