What a fun adventure into the past! It's always lovely to see people exploring their roots and I'd be happy to help offer a bit of advice.

There's a wonderful thread right here in our community that is full of helpful advice about how to get started discovering your ancestry. In particular, I'd recommend reaching out to a genealogical center in the area you suspect your ancestors may have hailed from. That's the best option for records from before 1864, when civil registration began to formally record births, marriages, and deaths across Ireland.
