I'm riding from Dublin to Galway in November 2022 - is it possible to bicycle out of Dublin airport? Is there a marked cycle path?

Hi Eric,

That sounds like an exciting trip you have planned there and I'd love to hear more about it. Would you like to share some details of your itinerary with the Community? 🚲

The National Transport Authority provides a great Journey Planner on their website. This tool even gives you an idea of how much traffic to expect on your selected route. You can choose the type of the route (easy vs. direct) and you can also select if you only want to cycle or if you want to bring your bike on the train for certain parts of the route.

You could also follow parts of your route on Google Street View and you can see that there is a bike lane when you cycle out of the airport.

I hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know how you get on with your planning for this trip. 🙂
