Travel advice for our upcoming trip?

Hi - we are a family of 7 (mom, dad, 5 kids ages 21-28) - we are staying in Belfast 8/3-7, but after that do not know where to go. Driving is a bit intimidating and rentals are so costly - trains might be the best way to go from place to place. But we like to stay in one place and really get to know an area... any ideas? A small, coastal town with beaches, pubs and maybe some golf? Where it is easy to walk to grocery, coffee shops, etc. then maybe we do a day trip to Dublin? Any advice is much appreciated :)

If you aren't comfortable driving, then that's no problem at all. The public transportation system here in Ireland has a range of wonderful options to choose from. This includes trains and buses, depending on which better suits your schedule.
