Hi, Looking to spend about 3 weeks in Ireland in Feb 2023 and was wondering if Ireland would normally get snow enough to stop use travelling by car around the country. I known it will be cold and probably wet and windy but have never driven on snow before and just a bit worried about doing so in a rental car.

Hi Les!

It's great to hear that you are visiting the island next year. Where on the island will you be visiting? ☘️

Although February would be the most common time of the year for us to experience snow, it is usually not that heavy or it doesn't lie on the ground due to being so close to the coast! February here in Ireland is typically mild but might be a lot colder in comparison to Australia. 😀

Are you thinking of hiring a car for your trip around Ireland? It is one of the best ways to see what Ireland has to offer. 🚗

Let us know if you need anything else for your upcoming trip!

Best,
Aimee
