Feenish Island, Galway

I am visiting Ireland October 4 thru 14. I would like to visit Feenish Island in Connemara/Galway as it was the birthplace of my grandfather. It is close enough to Carna mainland to walk to at low tide but wet boots/shoes in October is not ideal so I am looking to hire a boat and captain to take me and fellow family members to the island for 60 to 90 minute visit. Any information regarding boats for hire in that area would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend contacting Galway Bay Boat Tours to try and organize boat hire for your trip. Doolin Ferries may also be a possible contact who can put you in the right direction. Failing that some of the Galway Facebook groups can arrange or have contact details for private boat hire, so it may be fruitful asking on there. Low tide gives at least two hours to wander around the island.
