My wife to be and I are travelling to Cork and Kerry for our honeymoon in June next year.  We're staying in Cork City for three days and want to travel through County Cork and County Kerry for seven days in B&Bs. Could we have suggestions for places to visit, please? We're interested in historic places and houses and sea and coastline. Perhaps suggestions for aquatic wildlife watching. Thanks.

Hello David,

First of all, congratulations on your wedding! It's great that you chose the Emerald Isle for your honeymoon. 💚 💍

Are you planning to rent a car for the occasion? We have a few sample itineraries full of suggestions from Cork and along the Southern Peninsulas that could suit your needs.

Furthermore, West Cork is known for whale watching and you can also observe dolphins near the Blasket Islands (off the Dingle Peninsula)

There are plenty of historic houses and castles in the southwest. For instance, Bantry House (Co. Cork) or Muckross House (Killarney National Park). I can also recommend a stop at Gougane Barra, which is such a romantic place near Cork.

Finally, here are a few suggestions to spend three days in Cork City at the start of your trip.

Let us know how the planning of your trip goes : )

Cheers,
Antoine
