Hello everyone

I was wondering where are the most attractive and recommended places to visit in Ireland from Christmas till the end of the Year?
I mean places that we can visit in the winter, also we don't have a private car and we are international students, so if please an advice for places to visit and enjoy our time other than Dublin.

Thank you in advance

Hello,

There are plenty of places outside of Dublin to visit between Christmas and New Year!

We have some information on getting around Dublin which highlights the public transport options of buses, the LUAS, and the DART. All can be used to get out of the city to find places to visit.

Dublin's Coastal Trail will take you to many of the towns and villages just outside the city which are reachable by public transport. Just check the timetables for the services as they may be running a reduced service over the holiday period. Beaches, parks and open spaces will all be open for walks and hikes, again check locally for closures.

Glendalough would be a place that is open and worth a visit. There is a bus service from Dublin so no problems with transport and a super place to see.

It would be possible to venture up to Belfast for the day. Both train and bus options make it a place you can get to as well.

We hope this helps and our members and industry partners will be able to add to it also.
