I HOPE TO COME TO IRELAND  FOR ABOUT 10 DAYS DURING YOUR EASTER SCHOOL BREAK. I AM ON DIALYSIS  FOR 4HRS MON., WED., AND FRI. I WAS HOPING TO HIRE A PERSON TO DRIVE ME AROUND DONEGAL OR SLIGO OR LONDODERRY AND THE WILD ATLANTIC WAY. I AM FROM WISCONSIN AND A RETIRED PROSECUTOR. I THOUGHT A RETIRED PERSON OR STUDENT MIGHT FIT THE BILL. ALL IS OFF  IF I CAN'T FIND A DIALYSIS CENTER TO ACCEPT ME   THANK YOU GARY SCHUSTER

Hello Gary,

It's great that you are considering a trip to Ireland next Spring!

I have found a few chauffeur services in the North West of the island, such as Donegal Chauffeur TravelDonegal Executive Travel and Sligo Chauffeur that might suit your needs.

Have you already found a dialysis center where you'd be able to go? I have found the Sligo University Hospital Dialysis Unit as well as the Renal Unit in Derry-Londonderry.

Furthermore, you might be interested in these suggestions to explore the North West, Co. Sligo, Donegal and Co. Derry-Londonderry.

Hope this helps! Let us know how your plans go.

Cheers,
Antoine

Hi Gary

I’m glad to hear that you are considering a trip along the Wild Atlantic Way heading towards Derry-Londonderry – this is such a beautiful region. As regards hiring a private driver to explore this area, there are several local tour and taxi companies as well as guides that would be able to facilitate this for you. These would be experts of the local area, especially in Derry-Londonderry and Donegal. You can find more details on these within website at the link below:

In relation to dialysis centres, there is 1 purpose-built Renal Unit within the Western Trust, at Altnagelvin Hospital. This is the local hospital in Derry-Londonderry. More details, including contact information, can be found on the Western Health and Social Care Trust website at:

https://westerntrust.hscni.net/service/renal-services/

It may be worth contacting them to see if that can facilitate you. I hope you find this information helpful and if you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us further.

Kind Regards

Barry
