Hi! I do not mind the cold, I quite enjoy it actually. I will problably be in Ireland in February and March and I was wondering if it's possible to camp, in a tent at that time of year (it is in the Provincial Parks of Québec...). Will any facilities be open?

Hi Marie-Pierre!

It's great that you are considering an off-season camping trip to Ireland! Which parts of the island are you looking to explore?

Winter camping is definitely possible, even though you should plan your trip ahead as most campsites take a winter break. The Camping Ireland website lists the opening dates of most campsites and shows which are open all year round. You could also consider campsites that open in early February or March.

These pages about camping in Ireland and the weather might also come in handy. Let us know how your plans are coming along!

Happy Holidays!

Antoine
