My friend and I will be doing a coach tour in Ireland that ends in Limerick.  Before returning to Dublin to fly home, we wanted to tour around the Ring of Kerry and want to know if there are public buses to do that or other modes of travel in late May. We would prefer to not do the driving ourselves if possible.

Hello Jolene,

Thanks for joining us here!

The Ring of Kerry is a super location to see and is a place you can indeed visit by bus or tour company so a car is not essential.

If you are leaving from Limerick, then Paddywagon Tours has a tour from there. Most other tours or the public bus system will be from Killarney. Killarney Executive Tour has a tour that may be of interest and if you fancy a private tour, then Kerry Experience Tours may be just what you are looking for!

To get from Limerick to Killarney would be about 1 hour 30 mins by bus before the tour start time so something to take into consideration. Transport for Ireland has a great journey planner to have a look at the provider of the 300 service.

Where will you have already visited on your coach tour?
