Planning a trip to southern Ireland in October and while we have some specific destinations in mind, we are keen to have some flexibility on B&B reservations.  Do we need to make all reservations in advance or can we find B&Bs along the way making 1 to 3 nights stays as our travels dictate?

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the question and we are happy to hear that you will be joining us in October!

While booking ahead is always the best option particularly if you need to be in a certain place at a certain time, the flexibility of stopping in a place on the way somewhere to extend your time in an area is also wonderful. The first and last locations are probably the most important ones to make sure that you have somewhere to stay where and when you need it. 🙂

There is an accommodation page on our website that may be of help. Just scroll down to the where do you want to stay section and use the filters to refine your search. B&B Ireland also has a great website for accommodation.

We have some lovely trip ideas too, just in case you are looking for locations to add to your itinerary.

What have you already decided to see during your time with us?

Hi Tim
Great news that you are looking to enjoy the B&B experience when visiting the South of Ireland.

I would always recommend pre-booking your accommodation in advance to ensure that you can secure the dates desired in your chosen locations.

B&B accommodation is the ideal choice for exploring the island of Ireland as homes are located close to nearby attractions and amenities. B&B hosts will know everything about the surrounding area and can recommend what must-see hidden gems you should add to your itinerary. You'll also find lots of useful information on our website too.

Booking your accommodation online with B&B Ireland couldn’t be easier. You receive instant email confirmation of your booking, and you can create login details which will allow you to easily add and amend bookings.

B&B Locator Map - This is a great tool when planning a trip as it allows you to pinpoint which homes match what you are looking for. It helps you find the perfect B&B based on your desired location and activities. Click on the link below to view:
