Hi all.  Hubby and I are planning our 4th trip over there, likely in a year's.  Can anybody give me any advice on the practicality of renting an RV during our holiday there.  We plan to spend 3 weeks and hope to do Arran Islands, the Dingke, Cork and then Wexford and waterford.  We have driven over tgere before.  So really trying to weigh the comparative costs from air bnbs to rv.  Thanks for any help!

Hi Linda,

It is such a lovely idea to explore Ireland with a camper van this time around! It's great to see that you keep on returning to the Emerald Isle and this way of travelling can surely be a fabulous adventure. 🚙🧭

In this article, you can read some useful information on camper van travel on the island, including cost estimates and suggestions of places to visit. At the bottom of the page, you can find links to rental companies you could follow to see their price options. The Irish Caravan & Camping Council points out a few more companies you could compare. If you'd like to read some experiences of fellow Ireland friends who have travelled this way before, I recommend checking out these posts here in our forum.

3 weeks is a great amount of time to experience the places on your Ireland wish list. Perhaps some of these suggestions might be of interest to you too! 😊 Have you visited parts of our western and southern coast before, or would these areas be new to you?

Best wishes,
Rebecca ☘️
