Hello,

I am a solo traveler, widow. 65, and want to park myself aqt one of these two towns.

Thoughts? Advice?

Thank you,

Alfred

Hi Alfred,

To be able to help determine which town is best suited to you, what are some of your interests? Will you be traveling by motorhome?

Kenmare has its own appeal with the ancient Kenmare Stone Circle offering a glimpse into Ireland's past. Take a walk along Kenmare Bay for beautiful views, and explore the town's shops for unique souvenirs. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at Kenmare Golf Club with stunning surroundings. Kenmare is also known for its excellent dining options. Check out local restaurants or pubs for a taste of Irish cuisine.

In Clonakilty, you can explore the charming Model Railway Village, which showcases a mini version of the area. The Clonakilty Distillery is a cool spot to learn about whiskey making and try some samples. Duneen Gardens is a peaceful garden for a leisurely walk, and Red Strand Beach is great for enjoying the coastline.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Cathaoir
